So now we know the final line up for the first ever analysis cup.

Nick lines v chris blackley

The two semi finals were different in their make up. In semi 1 last seasons pele champ darryn cook took on nick lines. Nick went quite safe with southampton @0.44 and darryn went all spaghetti on us with an italian pick palermo to beat udinese@1.20. Nicks tactics paid off as southampton continue their great season and the italians shared the points meaning darryn goes out with a whimper.

Nicks final opponent had a humdinger of a semi final. Zach went early with a renewed bolton bashing wigan @1.38 on friday night. Leaving chris blackley with a sleepless night and a further 74 minute wait for a goal. Then christie elliott shot low into the corner on the 75th minute and partick thistle held on to win @1.75 sweeping chris into the final. Making it the second time he'd piped zach to a win as he beat him by 5p to last seasons shearer league title.

So next week the first ever final of the analysis cup nick v chris.
Nick was the lowest rated player of the last throws of the cup competition having finished with a minus 1.20 total last season but this season he hasn't lost yet so can the under dog win big.
Chris blackley finished top of the shearer last season and just missed out on the overall league losing by 20p with a total of 6.80. So he can consider himself the form player. Its going to be a battle to the death.

In the leagues

Pele

Hodgie333 maintains his lead with chelski away @1.10 nigel howlett moves to second with hearts @0.29 and andy ewart starts his campaign at last with the mighty leeds win (at last) @0.73.

Maradona

The league holding the two cup finalists. Its headed by zach who won with bolton @1.38 chris blackley goes second with partick @1.75 then nick lines with soton @0.44. Wart had pick of the week with the brighton/blackburn draw@2.25.

Dalglish

Ross jones moves to joint top with soton @0.44 and chrissy blackers into third with a good brentford away @1.88 james holland also wins with hartlepools fa cup win @0.40

Shearer

Sohail virdi also went for soton @0.44 and leads the way. Robert paton is close behind after his hibernian win @0.62.

Lineker

Omg i am top of the league i am top of the league! An inspired newcastle away pick @2.00 sweeps me to the top. Carl slade was the only other winner with chelski away @1.10

Gascoigne

Chris cann met everyone else in southampton @0.44 and leads gareth hedges is second with chelski away @1.10 (that is great value) owen williams goes up to nil score after joint second best pick of the week newcastle @2.00

Pineapple lee

A cameron family ding dong here. Its jim then its alison then its jim well now its alison she leads by 26p after the bolton win @1.38. Jim did win with greenock morton @1.00. Glen mcpherson is closing in with derbys demolition of wolves @1.00. Dong zheng won well with chelski @1.10

Ali dia

2 wins out of 3. Eric cameron keeps the family winning streak up with chelski @1.10. But sweeping to the top is richard peter crouch bibby or has his friends know him big dick, he went with bolton and won @1.38.

Well thats it next week is cup final week we will be following the finalists from their hotel bedrooms throughout the morning until they pick. Claire balding will interview their families and then chris hollins will join them on the way to the computer, where he will hand over to gary lineker for in depth analysis of their picks as they make their way to the printer where finally emma willis will pull them off.
