Big point scoring week but can anyone catch Davies? - Week 5

A great week for predicting as Bill Imrie picks the joint best result of the season and four players pick the second highest points score for the season. Bill Imrie picked the Raith Cowdenbeath draw to rocket into second place overall and top of the Maradona. Alan Blackley, Paul Shakespeare, Tony Southworth and Michael Kennedy all saw the value in West Brom’s trip to the Stadium of Light for 2.75 points.

Other notable picks were Jen Lewis’ 2.40 for the Portsmouth Preston draw and Steve Lynn and Neil Smith with the Blackburn Birmingham draw at 2.30.

Mervyn Davies’ prediction of the Auxerre St Etienne draw saw him go over 3 points clear at the top of the overall league and if he keeps it solid from here he can claim his maiden championship. Rob Weston’s Barnet home win moved him up to third overall and well clear in the top league, can he make it back-to-back Pele league wins?
