Season 18 - Week 9

Only a few notable winners this week as most of the British fixture list was wiped out by the weather. Michael Kennedy had the best win with the Hearts Inverness CT draw at 2.6 and puts him firmly in contention for promotion from the Kenny Dalglish League. Next best was Dave Beethoven whose 2.1 for the Montpellier Auxerre draw was music to his ears (sorry). He looks to be nailed on to win the Holding league and will be a threat next season in the full league. Robert Kean’s Kilmarnock home win against Hibernian won 1.2 putting him in prime position to overtake himself and win promotion from the Ali Dia League. Darryn Cook and Ross Jones both had the Sunderland win to net them 1.10.

Going into the final week of the season it could be a case of picking which games will be on. Andy Ewart and Alan Blackley are neck and neck to win the overall league separated by 0.3. This will be a game of cat and mouse as they must decide whether to gamble and go long or stick with a definite winner.

Craig the sheepdip goes into the last week in pole position to win the Pele league for the first time but he’s only 0.5 ahead of Gary Moss so it’s wide open there as well.
